    Haven't read through the thread (212 posts LOL :D) but indeed it is a holiday in Scotland. Scotland in fact had the holiday before you guys in the deep south, who have only had it for 30 years this year.

    I was guffawing at not being able to have them, in the I'm a bent as a twelve bob note way, but I'm not in the least bit paternal anyway.

    I'm sure the delights of having children makes up for the bribery/tears/late nights/early mornings/angst/etc etc etc that you have to go through. (easily said by a man without children I know - but this is a serious point, and I don't make those often)
