Do HSBC accounts now show up on Credit Reports?

in Credit cards
I seem to remember someone mentioning this not too long ago, that they were due to start reporting accounts to the CRAs. The last time I received my credit reports my HSBC credit card didn't appear in them - this was about 4 months ago. I was just wondering if it has shown up in anybody's reports yet?
I know I can find out by just applying for another credit report
- but I was planning to apply for a new card today so it'd be useful to know.
Many thanks

I have been checking my 'credit expert' account with Experian almost daily for the last month since this was announced. Nothing from my First Direct (HSBC) accounts nor my LLoyds TSB Scotland accounts are showing. Weird as it is supposed to be showing from 1st August. Maybe it will just take them months to actually imput everyone's data etc. Who knows? In my opinion, the longer it is not there, the better.~What you send out comes back to thee thricefold!~~0

Great, thanks for the info. I agree, the longer they take, the better
. When they do eventually sort it, I'll cancel the card.

I agree. One of the things I have always liked about my HSBC credit cards is that they don't appear on the credit sheets. I like to decide how much credit I require, not someone else, but there again, I have never been in debt so I am a safe risk etc. But, If I was you and you are wanting to apply for a new card, do it today, as no HSBC stuff will be on your report, who knows what day they will actually start to appear? One of the perks to HSBC, now they are like everyone else erm....but I agree with the watchdogs who think this will help people stop getting into debt by taking on more credit than they can handle. In that way it will be good I suppose. I just see it as yet another form of 'big brother' etc.~What you send out comes back to thee thricefold!~~0 -
I think I saw in the media that it only applied to account opened since about 2002 - but I may have misunderstood!0

Oooh! I hope so, that means my cheeky little gold card I have with First Direct stays a nice little secretbut i'm not that sure this is the case. I was led to believe by reports read in the Guardian Online that it applied to ALL account holders? I hope they got it wrong, anyone else know anything? Because Fitst Direct and LLoyds TSB sure aren't showing up on my credit searches!

HSBC have definitely started reporting to Experian
My online file shows 2 months reports on my HSBC current account (opened 09/05/05) and last updated 07/08/05.
As for credit searches strangely enough a search shows on 25/03/05 when I applied to upgrade my First Direct credit card to Gold yet no account history shows up for that card or the accompanying FD current account both of which I've had for over 6 years.Old Saying Once bitten twice shy

I've spoken with my [non-HSBC] current account provider (who I also have my day-to-day credit card with) about just this thing this week. They told me they will not (and have no plans to) report anything about account conduct on accounts held over 6 years - provided they are run satisfactorily.
If you apply for another product from them, they say they *will* search before agreeing but will not then report the product's account operation to the CRA's - again, provided the new account is run satisfactorily.0 -

Interesting, thanks.
I've since gone for a new Egg money card and I was accepted, so I'm assuming my "huge limit but unused" HSBC credit card isn't showing up on my report. However I'll get a report to check, as it seems to be different for many people.0 -

That makes sense, I've had my account longer than 6 years. I'll report back when I get my report(!)0 -
I've had my First Direct current account and gold visa card for maybe 14 years almost. So perhaps that is why they are not showing?~What you send out comes back to thee thricefold!~~0
