I signed up to BT broadband on monday(without seeing this offer).
Do you think if i complete the claimform i could bag the £40? Or to qualify, do you think you have to apply for the broadband through the link they provided?

Give it a go! Nothing ventured, nothing gained. I don't need Broadband until 15/10/2005 (moving from onetel) so I am hoping to qualify. Offer closes 23/09/2005. Good Luck0

metro is a free(?) newspaper which i have seen a couple of times on the london underground - basically they will just get a kick-back from bt, for getting them a new user0

Hi Rambler,
I am still currently with onetel on one of their 'bundles' UK talk and 512 Kpbs BB for £29.99. However, I have decided to come off the UK talk as I don't use the phone that much nowadays, but by doing so, does mean that the 512 kpbs BB goes up to £23.99. The 512 hopefully will go to 1mb by the end of September (all my exchange will support at the moment) or thats whats promised. Probably not in my case as I have now given notice on the bundle a) because I think I can get BB cheaper and b) I will use 1899 for all my calls 3p connection and 0ppm)
I already use 1899 for mobile calls. In my opinion, the problem with onetel is they seem very much to look after new customers a lot better than their loyal ones. I have ridden the storm a few times so to speak i.e. recently they gave 3 months UK calls FREE to new customers, worth £30. They are currently advertising up to 40 times (2mg) for £19.99 for new customers but insist they must charge me £23.99. So I've decided to move on. I was going to go with e7even, but reports on adslguide.org have completely put me off.
I am looking for the 'quiet' life and I think I just might buy into hassle there!
Onetel have, on the whole. provided me with a good service. I have been with them since their calls were 1.5p per minute including VAT, when at the same time BT were 4ppp +VAT+connection fee (local calls)and 8ppp +VAT=connection fee. So, you see competition does pay in the end. Some people have had great problems with onetel's customer services, but other than them now charging for calls, they on the whole have been OK. If anyone out there can give a reccommendation for a DECENT broadband provider, I would be more than grateful.0
