I subscribed to your thread because we bought our house 1989.
We also have 2 DD of similar age and yes we had 3 endowments
which we also cashed in and went to repayment instead. However we had a mad moment and bought another house in 2010 - I often wonder why. We hope to finish in 2 years. We are overpaying like mad.
I am sure you must be planning what you are going to do with all that extra money. I hope to go back to being part time. Well done

What we plan to do is now save for a new Kitchen.. promised Mrs Ernie that..if it wasnt for her commitment we wouldnt be in this fortunate position:T
