how easy and how cheaply is it to upgrade this please?
RAM is cheap and relatively simple to upgrade. That link I sent upgrades it for you for £24.90. http://www.bigpockets.co.uk/product.php?lang=&product_id=22930&session=8f5ebdc3be4805945742cce04d30f984
I think you may be able to find similar spec models to this link elsewhere also so keep your eyes out.
Or an operating system ! another £72.00
As gooner rightly points out (and I missed), there is no operating system supplied with this machine. This is a requirement and, unless you actually own a copy of Windows (Xp would probably run your machine quicker as it's less memory intensive, Vista would be ok if you own it) you would have to purchase it also. Again, the link I sent (harping on about it!!), will supply you with Vista for £71.99. It might be an idea to look and see where you could get Windows Vista from and for how much if you went for this model.John

Unless you want to play the latest games, you don't need a high spec pc. If you can get 512MB of ram fairly cheaply, it will probably run fine (apart from the lack of legit XP).
www.crucial.com/ukEver get the feeling you are wasting your time? :rolleyes:0 -
