We're going camping at the end of May (Neve will be 5months)- I've bought some vertbaudet fleece sleeping bags with sleeves (2togs) off ebay and I'm going to take some blankets and just add layers until warm enough.

You can also get baby sleeping bags: http://www.outdoormegastore.co.uk/acatalog/Vango_Nitestar_400_Baby_Kids_Sleeping_Bag.html

:money: 10% cashback through quidco as well with outdoormegastore

Neve's only short and I was worried she might slip down which is why I didn't get one, though I will for next year.

They are well thought of on ukcampsite and there's loads of threads on camping with babies:

Just to let you know that in the end I took a fleece all-in-one suit and a 2.5 tog sleeping bag, but only put her in the fleece suit. I made her a bed next to me, and had a thick blanket under her that I could drape over her if necessary, but she was as snug as a bug in the fleece suit and slept really well. Woke once the first night (about 5am) and not at all the second night (she is a good sleeper anyway).

The 2.5h car journey wasn't the best but we broke it up on the way home, and although it seemed to take us 5h to get home, as least everyone was happy - the children got to run around at a local park and have a picnic too.

awww glad it went well for you. A lot of the peeps on ukcampsite.co.uk also reccommend insulating inbetween the ground sheet and the air bed. This is because it is the air bed that gets cold directly from the ground. They say that if you put a fleece or one of those picnic blankets under and over the airbed that it keeps you warmer. We get electric hook up and take a thermostatic fan heater :p
