  • Hi all,

Well I thought it was time for another quick update seeing as I have sold a couple more things so here goes:-

    Ebay Sale - £2.00
Website Sale (thanks to a fellow MSE user!) - £10.00

Plus a further Ebay sale of £3.98 but not received payment yet so not adding this to total until I actually have the cash in my hands (or my paypal account!)

Also my Christmas items I need to do are coming on slowly but surely.

    Christmas Cards made 120/160
    Christmas Gifts made 1/16

No panic - only 12 more days to go - oh it seemed like a good idea at the time!!!!!

Bad news is I have succumbed to some glitter paper from Create & Craft (I had just used my last bits on xmas cards I had made & it was half price!) so I have spent another £15.48 - whoops. At least I won't have time to watch the channel today as I'm busy with Christmas cards for my little girl & me.

Well better go for now - happy crafting everybody & merry christmas.

  • What's the projected income from the £15 spent on Paper? Only, if not high enough, then that one purchase has just wiped out all the other gains you mentioned on that second-last post? Please don't see me as being negative, I'm not trying to be - more constructive if you like. You have said before that you have a craft room full of bits that you need to work through - would you not be better to work through those before buying other bits? Having said that, you're doing so well compared to what you were spending, aren't you - that's definite progress. How are the christmas cards and pressies coming along? I wish I was creative enough to be able to do stuff like that!

  • Hi all,

Thanks for your post EsexHebridean. You are right of course that I really did'nt need to buy the glitter paper as I have tons of other goodies in my study but it was moment of weakness on my part. However I need to use some of the paper for my last few christmas cards & also on some projects for christnas gifts. I will however have loads left to to use on cards to make & sell soI work out that as I am 64 sheets (i will use approx 5 for chrsitmas projects) that will leave me 59 sheets for using on money making projects. Working on the principal of 1 sheet per project (although I actualy think I will get at least 4 from one sheet but playing on the safe side!) and say £1 per finished card I make that I could make £59 from the glitter paper so hopefully this justifies my puchase a little?

Anyway time for a quick update:=

No more sales since last time - boo hooo

Have made loads more christnas cards though - 150/160 - only 10 more to go - wahooooooo!!!!

    I love Christmas Crafting!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Happy New Year to you all.

Well thought it was a good time to list my crafting resolutions for this year so here they are for all to see:-

    1. Craft every day
    2. Keep craft room tidy & organised at all times
    3. Sell loads more stuff (i.e. in shops, craft fairs, ebay etc)
    4. Have a dedicated website up and running selling crafting downloads etc by the end of 2009.

Well, fingers crossed I'll stick to at least three out of the four xxx

OK 2009 is going to be my year to start selling in loads of different outlets - I hope.

After I have made 3 birthday cards which are needed for the first few days in January (why do family members always have their birthdays at the same time?) I am going to set to work on the following:-

    1. Tidy up and organise study so I know exactly what I have and where it is
    2. List on Ebay and ArtyMiss Barter all the items I no longer want
    3. Look into and book craft fairs in my area for 2009
    4. Make samples to show to outlets
    5. Contact outlets with regard to selling my items

Sounds good to me on paper - lets hope this year I stick to plan!!!!

    Happy 2009 crafting everybody.

  • Hi all,

Well I've not drwoned under the sea of crafting materials - it was touch and go though!!!! I'm still sorting through the mountains of mess in my craft room but would estimate that I am now approx 2/3rds there so there is light at the end of the tunnel!

I am finding loads of goodies which I did'nt know I had which is fantastic - its really getting my creative juices flowing.

So far I 've stuck to crafting resolution about crafting evertday - yesterday i made my first atc card as i was short on time.

off to keep tidying. happy crafting

  • Hi all,

Well I have finally tidied up my craft room and found loads of stuff I'd forgotton I hade so thats great. I think I've got enough crafting materials to last for years!!!

I have also got loads of items ready to list on Ebay - but am going to wait until they have a cheap listing day for most of them so that I can save a bit on fees seeing as they are now so expense to list small value items. Anyone know when one is coming up?

I have also just booked my first date for 21st Feb for a fundraiser wwhich is going on in our local village hall. The table cost £6 so hopefully I should make a bit of money from that - I visited last year (as it was full and I could not get a table) and it was really busy so fingers crossed.

I have also made 6 sample cards ready to approach shops & other outlets with so progess is being made slowly - i'm gonna make more tonight and also check what stock I already have ready for the date I've just booked.

Oh and before I forget I have also just made my first sale of teh new year via my website £16.25 for the total gets me off to a good start.

    I'm off to keep crafting.

  • ITBF - you're inspired me - one of my New Years resolutions over on the OS board is to make, not buy, cards for people this year! Are there websites where I can download templates for things like flower shapes, by any chance?

Looking forward to hearing news of your progress on your own resolutions as the year goes on - it's good that you have finally got to the end of the tidying as well - it'll be easier to crack on with the work when you know where to find thing won't it!
