Will it always be free to withdraw cash, even when you are spending their cash, and not yours?

I think it says on the website that there is only no charges when you withdraw your own cash.

I spoke to someone at Egg this morning called Stella who was very unhelpful and her whole tone was "Not another one". I suppose every barrel has a bad apple.

Definately no charge for withdrawing cash even if you're on a negative balance. It's a cross between a credit card, debit card and savings account, so if you're withdrawing cash it's like from your overdraft. You'll still be charged the 6.9% typical.
Yes a credit search will be done even if you already have an Egg product but we'll also use your behavioural score from how you've maintained your account.
  • Hi, just been through this thread but couldn't see if anyone got an answer as to whether your purchases are taken off your positive balance as you spend, or taken at the end of monthly credit period. (If that makes sense!)
