Just wondering how long it will be before they cut the Egg Money rate to 0.5% or the in-credit interest rate but still remain "competitive". Maybe I'm just being cynical. Also, the rate you're getting when you're in credit might be 4% but it's 4% of an ever declining balance so it's surely not going to amount to that much? Haven't done the calculations - don't have the incentive, but I'm sure someone will, and prove me wrong to boot - but even though you paid in £1000 a month, and started spending, you'd be getting a fraction of 4% a month on a declining balance - must only amount to a couple of pounds at the very most. A bit of a gimmick perhaps? Rather spend on my citicard, get my 1% CB, and put the money needed to pay the bill into a higher interest savings account at the start of the month.

Can anyone confirm how the cashback is applied to the account? Do you have to follow some kind of affiliate link from your account?
Im trying to work out if I can combine my Apple educational discount with this 10% offer.0 -
You have to follow this affiliate link
That takes you to the general public Apple store, they've removed the links to the education store so you can't get the 10% Egg cashback there.
Depending on the value of your order, you might be better off buying from the education store as normal and going through Quidco instead for a further 3% off. Better still, wait for the Egg 2% Christmas offer before you buy.0 -
Have a quick question, sorry if already asked. But if I want to buy from the applestore today, can I use my blu ecard and get the 10% cashback or do i have to wait for the new card to come thru?0

Well, that's the power of marketing for you, and this forum...:D
Once you start thinking about it, you can always convince yourself that a course of action is right...or wrong!
Just sour grapes probably
Thanks for highlighting it...;)
