Hello everyone... it's brightened up here a bit now today, hopefully it'll stay nice this weekend - looking forward to 3 days off!.

Well done Claireabelle! Wow, what an achievement.

    - checked my new eBay listings :) - so far so good, 6 of 28 already have bids. Will make an effort to spend time this weekend listing more things.
    - checked for mystery shops, but nothing new.
    - did piggy click
    - have an MS job to do later on by email
    - checked quidco, did click and a survey thing so that's another free 90p, updated sig.
    - did TV viewing survey
    - will do some bank account / credit card admin this afternoon
    - made a list last night before bed of lots of things around our place I could eBay - I actually walked around it with paper and a pen writings things down!
    - will list some more books on GM shortly
    - will do some STP later
    - [STRIKE]need to take out new pet insurance today, but will do it via quidco, and should end up a bit cheaper than my renewal. [/STRIKE] well I tried to, I cancelled the old policy today, but Halifax's online quote system has been down ALL afternoon, and I don't want to call instead as then I won't get quidco cashback. *sigh* I've tried 4 times now, so giving up for today.
    - got refund of £7 from a ladies clothes/home shop after complaining about appaling customer service/delivery on a sale order at Xmas (took long enough, but hey, better than nothing)
    - wrote complaint letter to another co about poor quality product and posted it

Anyone got tips on how best to save on an MOT? There's no council checking one near me, I read Martin's article on that already. Don't wanna get ripped off.

  • Well thank Crunchie it's Friday:rotfl:

Today I've done my weekly shop and so far managing to keep it a good bit under the £200 I allocated for the month....think it will come in at approx £180 -185 when 4 week period comes to an end:A

Paid off another £25 towards washing machine..once that's paid off in Dec that will be another £300 a year I can throw at debts:T

Seen my parents' shopping list from a visit to a Lidl store and was amazed at all they got for £40:D .....we only have a Co-op & Somerfield where we live and their prices are astronomically dear:eek: :rotfl: but hopefully Lidl will be up and running by Dec if their planning permission is granted:T

Checked online banking and got £90 credited into account....no idea where that has come from, will need to investigate.....if it's kosher  it can be thrown at reducing credit card bill:A

Got a wash on now and will peg it out asap

Got 2 cheap bottles of the old vino for £4.98 at Somerfield so that's me sorted for Bank Holiday weekend:T :rotfl: :D

Think that's about it really for today:rolleyes: Hope everyone has a fantastic Friday and let's hope the weather keeps improving for Bank Holiday weekend:T :j :T

    Hi everyone,
Lauren_1 - those huggies wipes are great, I find I only need to use one for baby, with other makes, often 2 or 3 are needed, so also money saving!
    Today I have or will
    - done a bit of washing and out on airer to dry (dark grey cloud lurking)
    - prob stay in tonight and drink few odd random beers I have in the fridge
    - tidied up a bit (keeps me from shops)
    - might sort out some paperwork tonight (tax credits renewal, P60 to my accountant, etc)
GOing into town soon, so will
    - post photos to MIL 2nd class
    - buy some napisan so I can start using wshable nappies again (on baby of course, not me!lol)
    - get him some babygrows in boots, I seen some extra cute ones in there and should get loads of points too.
    - see if I can remember my password to transfer rest of birgin balance to 0%
