When we start out on the DFW trail we do loads of "big stuff" that makes quite a difference to our situation. These include having our lightbulb moment, cutting up the credit cards and cancelling Sky and the gym.
But once we have done the bigger stuff, we often feel that we are not making the same amount of progress, when in fact the small steps are helping us form good financial habits and helping us get closer everyday to staying in control and becoming debt free.
Examples could be charging your phone up at work instead of at home to save your electricity, hanging washing out instead of using the tumble dryer or leaving your purse/wallet at home to avoid the risk of spending.
So be proud of those small steps, they really are important.
Today I will/have:

Morning All
Second Day on here so I'm forming a Habit, find it useful if I write it down, then at least I know ii have either done it or need to do it!!!
Today I have
- Put one load of Washing on Washing line (Woo Hoo drying weather is back)
- Brought in my lunch
- Added some more listings to Gumtree
- Checked Online Banking (its actually looking positive this month)
Today I Won’t
- Spend any Money
- Don’t even look at eBay (I'm still avoiding it full stop after their changes)
- Won’t stay around this evening after my gig drinking like I usually do!
And then that’s it till Monday when I'm back in the office.
Hopefully I wont spend too much this weekend other than on feathers as need to make costumes so its off to the Warehouse – where I will spend a fortune do doubt – but its money set aside from my performance money so technically I'm not spending my own money.
Update on Monday guys…0 -
Today I have/will
- checked on-line banking
- done some washing but not risking hanging it outside as I'm at work all day

- sold a larger item on ebay so need to wrap that up to get it posted
- collected all my avon cash in so I can pay my commission into my ISA

Hi guys :hello:
It's been a while since I've been on. Feeling really down today with having no money at all, feel such a urge to spend. Thank goodness for this forum :T
So today I will/have
- check my online account and pay another £100 off my overdraft
- look through the freebies and send away for some of them (beats spending money on them I guess)
- do a mystery shop today and tomorrow so that's a free lunch and some cash
Good luck everyone and have a lovely bank holiday.DFW Nerd no: 1490 -
