Dialaphone Misleading information

I ordered a phone over the net from Dialaphone, which at first I thought was great offer. NEC 338, talk & text 600 on three network. The adverts says: “ line rental of £2.99 for THE FIRST 9 months, £30 thereafter (12 month contract)”.

I thought this meant my minimum period to stay connected is 12 months, and that all the redemptions would be paid within that 12 month contract period.

WRONG...... Dialaphone are not paying the last redemption of of £63 till month 15.

If they're advertising £2.99 line rental for the first 9 months on a 12 month contract, but not giving the last redemprion till month 15, then it's not a 12 month contract, it's a 15 month contract!!

I've phoned them up with my concerns and they have said I could return the phone back under the 14 day return policy.

I have been ordering from Dialaphone for the last 4 years and all the offers of cashbacks and redemptions have always been within the minimum contract period.

I was wondering if I have Trading standards issue here.

even i have such problem with my o2 connection which i got from dialaphone. They are adapting each technique to hold the cash back. This is a clear cut cheating by the dialaphone.Trading standards should take action on dialaphone misleading advertisements. It is better to buy the phone from phones4u as they give the cash back at 6th month no waiting for 12 or 15th month.
  • I have a similar problem where as my recent O2 contract pays out £76 cashback at month 12 of a 12 month contract. Obviously a ploy to make you not give up the contract after the minimum term.

Do O2 refund accounts that are in credit at end of contract? My O2 deal is cashback straight in to airtime account.
