Update 2 December 2008.
The report is now available to see here: RedSave Report
1st May 2008
Why have posts about Redsave been removed?
Unfortunately the online shopping website Redsave has made repeated threats of legal action to MoneySavingExpert.com because of an enormous number of people who have posted comments warning people away from using this company, allegations that Redsave say are untrue. To protect the site and its posters we have removed all posts.
Is this kowtowing to a legal threat?
Absolutely not. This site is here to help consumers and it will not be cowed by threats to keep it quiet. However the sheer workload and expense of pruning every thread as a preventative action is simply too much.
We will be conducting a FULL investigation into Redsave
I have commissioned a leading financial investigative journalist to research all complaints, look into Redsave and see if the complaints are justified and whether consumers can feel safe, secure, protected and get good value using the company or whether; as some of the posts suggested this is a company that should be avoided with a barge pole.
When this article is ready (probably over the next few weeks), it will be placed in this space. It will also go in the weekly e-mail which is seen by over 2,000,000 people.
Redsave is obviously concerned for its reputation, as it has continued to aim to escalate this issue with continued legal notes from its solicitors. So it can only be a good thing that the full, detailed truth of the situation – good or bad – be revealed to as many people as possible; to ensure Redsave's mass public reputation is a fair representation of its service.
What can people do to help.
If you have had problems and posted about it, or good service from Redsave you can send your comments to Redsave@moneysavingexpert.com
Kind Regards
Martin Lewis.

IMPORTANT NOTE: In the meantime please do NOT post about Redsave anywhere in the MoneySavingExpert.com Forums…. If you see a post please report it to abuse@moneysavingexpert.com and it will be removed. This thread is closed for discussion for that reason
