Surely there is a way for all those technical web peeps in the MSE office to block these spammers before they even reach the freebie site?

Such spam sites interrupt the flow of my searches for genuinely free things and it is frustrating to have the pages blocked with this pathetic form of spam.

This US spam is more often than not a Bot. A PC that has sometimes innocently been taken over by a trojan which it then spams forums

There is no full way to stop them they get round those letters/words that forums use to sign up to now. The best way is block known IP address that come from a country like US/China but there are ways round it

theres all these ones that send u emails and say u have so much money waiting for u in another bank acount and ones that claim your owed inheritance from some guy/girl you've never heard of. i get those emals all the time. thy r so annoying

oh and the ones claiming u have won an online lottery too-funny that since the reply address is a yahoo or hotmail account!!
