Personally I love the programme, yes it could be a bit slower, yes they could focus on some stuff in more detail and not feel so rushed, BUT ... the format of the programme makes it accessible to people who may choose not to watch other finance type programmes. I love the way it is down-to-earth and informal which makes it wasy to dip in and out of and pick up tips. Keep going Martin, we all love yaMortgage Total: £51,549 / £75,000

I think its the British way - build someone up and as soon as they do well knock them down. I like that Martin is passionate about what he does and says. Occasionally he comes across as over the top but that just makes me smile. This site has been so useful for me when I've struggled with finances or just wanted advice. Well done Martin - thanks for your passion and your dedication in getting this website going - I'm sure it hasn't been easy.Never let your sucesses go to your head and never let your failures go to your heart.:beer:0

I don't watch the TV show but get to hear him on Jo Whiley on Radio1. It drives me mad!!! Not Martin, but Jo - she hurries him up, interrups, and stops him every couple of minutes to play a tune. FGS woman, let him say his piece. What's the point in having a guest and not letting him talk??******** Never be a spectator of unfairness or stupidity *******"Always be calm and polite, and have the materials to make a bomb"0

Having read some of the posts, I find some of the comments disgraceful.
Martin has saved myself and thousands others a bundle of cash not to mention freebies, competion wins (off to Monte Carlo in August).
I notice that some of the awful comments have come from people that are not new to the forum and no doubt have probably benefited from the forum in some way (pots and kettles if you ask me).
The tv programme is way too short at half an hour but thats CH5 fault not Martin's,and if being over enthusiastic is a fault then god help us.
Keep up the good work Martin

I have never watched the show (the time just doesn't suit) but visit this website nearly every day and it has saved me not only money, but time and worry. I can't understand anyone who begrudges Martin any of his success :T and I know how much and how often he thanks everyone else involved ie his team and ourselves. As he so eloquently put it - don't watch or don't visit if you don't like it. There are plently of us that do and are happy to continue.0

I don't get chance to watch the show (maybe because I don't have a T.V.). The student life.
Anyway, I am only 19 years old, and all my financial knowledge has come from Martin. Before I came to Uni, I used this site and his book to learn about credit cards, student current accounts, how to approach businesses, and most importantly how to budget. I fear without this site I would have simply kept with my low paying savings account and not bothered to get a 0% student overdraft. So many times throughout history people have wrongly tried to put faces to problems, and using Martin as a scapegoat is wrong.
I hope to use Martin's knowledge throughout my life's transitions. I will need to learn about mortgages, pensions, etc.
Thank you Martin and community."Do not spoil what you have by desiring what you have not; but remember that what you now have was once among the things you only hoped for."
