Off to watch Johnny Depp in 'Dead Man'. The title music has been playing for 86 minutes now, I reckon thats just over a hundred times round. Still, it's Neil Young improvising so I might listen to it a few more times.Night owl member Tventy Four ah ahWhere is the wisdom we lost in knowledgeWhere is the knowledge we lost in information. How can you do £2 a day. I went round Sainsburys and bought one of each thing they do in basics just to see which are edible. People actually move away from you in the queue when you do that. Try asking where the dried pasta packet meals are and they say 'Oh, I don't think we sell that kind of thing.' I know Sainsburys is expensive moneysavers but my daughter works there so I get 10% off and a load of cheap squashed stuff.Night owl member Tventy Four ah ahWhere is the wisdom we lost in knowledgeWhere is the knowledge we lost in information. last night i made a pasta and sauce, with pud for under £1.26, and believe me we were stuffed.
I am costing it all out and seeing where i get to. Have a look on Weezls thread on oldsyle, she and hubby have lived off next to nothing for three months and have 19p left. I'll just find the link for you ..hold on.

Do you live in a posh area by any chance???
Nothing to do with sainsburys basics but ASDA Smartprice jaffacakes are good and almost 1/3 of the price of proper ones (I think 62p vs £1.51 for a double box) - I got a bit addicted to them this weekend
I don't care if people think I am weird if I buy el cheapo stuff, most people think I am a bit odd anyway;)
. I tend to have a weird mix of stuff in my basket of things that are more expensive then a DFW should admit to
and stuff that is so cheap that it surely can't cover the packaging:cool:

I agree PAID, i reckon they will all be fur coats with no knickers, and really tacking themselves at how much they spend...
Tesco have a decent value range as well.
I cook a lot and i reckon we eat far better than most and that is with two bottomless pit teenagers, hubby and i admit it me! The neighbours also pop in a lot..greedy bunch.
Yesterday and today, we had HM soup, HM bread, HM sauces for pasta, plum crumble and custard, made with half a punnet of Aldi 69p plums and it was delicious. I just costed it all out at about £1.93 in total, not saying i can do it all the time and i work it by weights etc..Blackadder: Am I jumping the gun, Baldrick, or are the words 'I have a cunning plan' marching with ill-deserved confidence in the direction of this conversation?

In the 19th century the queen came here for holidays, and I live next to a flat once lived in by Robert Tressel who wrote The Ragged Trousered Philanthropists. It's gone down hill a bit since then.Night owl member Tventy Four ah ahWhere is the wisdom we lost in knowledgeWhere is the knowledge we lost in information. T.S. Weirdly, I am reading that at the moment!!
I live in an area that has 'a little bit posh but not very', averaging and poor through to very poor mixed together, means I can shop cheap when I want to without people pointing£34,547 (Dec 07); Current debt: £zilch (Debt free December 2010)
