At the London one it is safe to say that Battersea Park was awash with pee by the end. Amazingly (thankfully) on all four that I have done I have never peed once on route.£34,547 (Dec 07); Current debt: £zilch (Debt free December 2010)

Hi JM
Sorry - probbaly should be a bit clearer on a chat thread.
It is the Moonwalk in aid of breast cancer charities. I did the LOndon one a few weeks ago and Red did the Edinburgh one just this weekend gone. 26.2 miles from midnight (ish) in a spangly bra in the name of charity.£34,547 (Dec 07); Current debt: £zilch (Debt free December 2010)

Oooh well done you. My friends wanted me to do the Moonwalk but I'm not ready for that yet! I've only done two charity things - Race for Life last year and HydroActive in Hyde Park - both were just 5k.
I'm doing Race for Life again in two weeks. Mainly for my best friend who has breast cancer.Lightbulb moment: 14 May 2008Debt free date: April 2014DMP Mutual Support Thread Member No 188Nightowl Member No 160 -

The moonwalk isn't as bad as it sounds. I reckon you could train fairly easily in about three months and riskily in about two.
When I first did the Moonwalk I didn't know anyone that had breast cancer, now I know three one is clear, one is in remission and one is currently in the midst of chemo. I found about the latest one the tuesday after I had done the moonwalk which felt kind of odd.
Well done on your fundraising exploits.
EDIT: Moonwalk applications open in October/November£34,547 (Dec 07); Current debt: £zilch (Debt free December 2010)

I'd never known anyone with breast cancer. My friend was diagnosed after Christmas and since then she's had one breast removed and reconstructed and is about to undergo her second chemo treatment. Apart from the hair loss (for which she has a fab wig and some gorgeous headscarves) you would never know she is ill. She does get a bit breathless and has a few days after the chemo where she is just shattered but she is doing really well and is such a fighter. However I do have to keep telling her off for overdoing things!:rolleyes:Lightbulb moment: 14 May 2008Debt free date: April 2014DMP Mutual Support Thread Member No 188Nightowl Member No 160
