You are liable. Oh babe, sorry but you should not be living this. And when he is buying you things, then you are actually buying them yourself. Its your money you are giving him for him to spend on you. This is NOT fair and NOT on. I hope you WONT be helping to pay a deposit on a new place for him. Sorry Mother Boo is out tonight and she is giving you a talking to. And i hope a reality check. Now am i going to have to come over there and sort you out then go and see him and tan his backside. x x x x x x Mummy BooBoo
No, you know what, I completely understand, as I'd say the same thing if I was reading this post from someone else!
It all started with me trying to get him to have a lightbulb moment. He's actually paid about half of it off, so I shouldn't nag about it too much, but I do agree that it's not on.
The cards thing started when I got him to put stuff on my Amex (cashback kerrching) and he'd give me the cash there and then, and it just went from there, and I would stress it is my idea he's the additional cardholder, and yeah, I'm very aware I'm liable for anything he spends.
I just wish I could make him see sense. I mean...he clears 1700 a month, and his bills as far as I can see are 1200 tops...I have the password for his online banking, and the other week, he;d drawn out £200 in a week for god's sake! And no idea what he'd spent it on, and couldn't see why I was so worried someone might have nicked his card.
Bloody men. IN his defence he is getting a lot better, taking lunch to work etc. But he also needs a bloody big kick up the backside still...which admittedly is hard to do from over here!
But aside from the monetary aspect, I mentioned howI was that he hadn't asked me about my exam, and you know what, he said sorry, but still didn't ask.
But hey ho, he's coming over here next week for 6 days, and my lord he is going to ge his !!!! kicked!
(And consider mine well and truly kicked). I'm not happy with the situation, believe me, and I *will* have it sorted. Mwhaha etc! But thank you for the rant. You're all lovely on here.

Usually I head for my bed or go for a walk - problem is the walks usually end up in the middle of the night and I walk about 4 miles round town before heading home again! Opted for the bed for a good cry this time - no one can see the tears there!!!!
No bargains as yet tonight - last week I bought 2 skirts that were ending at 0520 hours - got them for 10p and £2 postage! Ok so they don't fit me but when I take a better picture and get them relisted I will make some cash out of them (the pic was terrible and the skirts are actually quite nice!)
How is everyone???
Hello arnie&caseysma!

Good luck with your ebaying;)A freebie a day sends a smile my way!

hi M&S gal.. have done general accounts/customer service type stuff, but aways wondered if there is 'something more' to life, than just pen pushing..
have always wanted to do a round britain bike ride, if only to see whats there, (and get fit, maybe raise some ££ for charity too..) but can't afford to be without a steady income.. c/cards taking forever to clear, along with water bill that mounted up from last year.Long time away from MSE, been dealing real life stuff..

Heehee, good luck with the money making! That's the reason why I hate buying clothes from ebay sometimes, always faffing about if they don't fit, so I don't use it that much. Though I have so many from my pre MSE days that thankfully I don't need anymore.
And re the depression, you're always welcome to come and have a chat, be it on here, via pm or whatever.
I've had a rant for the first time ever here, and mummy smashed is being lovely....I like my coffee black, just like my metal!

I am such a mug! Started off as me trying to get him debt free by me paying off his cards for him, letting him be an additional cardholder on mine (admittedly he does pay them in full every month), and I have no doubt he'll pay me back what he owes (4.5k), however everytime I mention it, something else comes up...first it was paying his last o/d off (so admittedly now he is debt free apart from to me), then his car had major probs, now the moving thing. Does my head in, since the money he had was basically my grant for living away this year, and it's only the fact that I saved money from my job before I went that I still have money. He clears 1700 a month for god's sake...wish I could make him have a proper lightbulb moment!
But I feel really bad for asking...argh.I had a major go at him a couple of months back (this all started in about August), and because he'd been at work all day his only answer was, "mmm sorry I'm tired". Give me strength someone! Apart from that he's lovely, but he needs to learn I don't want him to buy me stuff, I want my money back so I can afford to eat next month lol. Living here is cheap, but not so cheap as I can live on £100 for the next 8 weeks!
Believe me, nip it in the bud now or he will be like Mr.B, Putting on the "what have i done wrong now face?".....train em early and they will no longer embarrass themselves with your purse....
as the old saying goes, don't ask for credit! as a smack in the mouth or a kick in the bahoonies offends!Blackadder: Am I jumping the gun, Baldrick, or are the words 'I have a cunning plan' marching with ill-deserved confidence in the direction of this conversation?
