Maldives advice needed

Hi
I'm planning on booking a late deal for 14 nights in late June, I'm still debating between a Half Board package or All Inclusive.
Not all hotels do All Inclusive so this will limit my options if i decide to do it i think, has anyone been half board if so how much extra would you expect to add to your bill in 14 nights? I'm thinking maybe half board with the extras may be cheaper than All Inclusive or at least maybe enable me to go to a nicer island that isn't All Inclusive??
Also does anyone know which are the best All Inclusives in the Maldives?
Sorry for lots of questions but your advice would be really appreciated
Thanks a bunch!
PS: My budget is approx £3,000 for 2 of us

The drink are quite pricey in the Maldives-i always advised people to go All Inclusive (i was !!!. manager at t.agents til i had my ds) if they like to have a drink on holiday. Im not talking loads of booze but a bottle of wine with dinner etc can really add the £'s onto your bill. Both sun island and paradise island are fav's. I wouldn't think it'd be really busy etc with loads of children a sits not school hols.hth.xx0

i would definately suggest all inclusive i always like to say/think you are on holiday to escape everyday life, money worries being one of them when you are having fun/destgressing the last thing you want is to be thinking how much you are spending isnt it? all inclusive means drink and eat whatever you want when you want! go for it! all inclusive and have yaself a good time and a beer for me!0

I would also say go all inclusive. As the previous poster says drinks and extra food are pricey and you need a lot of water to drink in the heat and when we stayed at Kuredu all inclusive water was included. Kuredu is a big island with plenty to do, and next year we are going to Club Faru which is a small island and also all inclusive.0

We went to the Maldives last July for a week, we stayed AI and well worth it. We stayed at Makunudu and it was beautiful, comes highly recommended.Thrifty Till 50 Then Spend Till the End
You can please some of the people some of the time, all of the people some of the time, some of the people all of the time but you can never please all of the people all of the time0 -

Hi,
We stayed on Kuredu last year and can highly recommend it.
All inclusive is definitely the way to go in the Maldives.

There is a very informative forum on www.kuredu.com which will answer any queries you might have.
Kuredu has an excellent spa and the dive centre is also very good. The seaplane transfer was fantastic.
