As most people will be getting paid this week i thought it would be a good idea to list what we aim to do to help clear our debts for the month of May (almost half way through the year already  )
This can vary from making at least half of the £10 a day challenge
over paying credit cards/loans/other debt by a certain amount
taking on a second job by a certain date
signing up to cash back websites
the list could go on...an on....and on...
I feel that if it's written down here and we all egg one another on we might just make more of an effort to come back at the end of the month and see we've done it or even excelled our targets for the month
this month i aim to
list more stugg on ebay and make at least £50
start using my free breadmaker to avoid buying from shop
join £10 a day challenge and pay all proceeds to debt
take the bus to work at least 2 days to avoid over using petrol
stick to shopping budget
meal plan for at least one week out the month
keep doing piggy clicks and comps - I will win one this month
reduce usage on dryer and keep using clothes horse
start using new bank account for spends which I set up to keep the bills account seperate
This month is going to be really hard for us cos we have so much on. I have a hen night which is costing me an arm and a leg before I even leave the house, OH has a stag do at the end of the month and only revealed to me last night that it is 2 nights - not one  then inbetween I have my nephews first communion and a few birthdays.
I don't think the bills will be overly over paid this month but I will try my best
Anyone else.....

OK, I am going to aim to do the following:
- start my new job next week
- stick to the budgets (very strict ones) that I have set myself. Daunting but do-able
- Make my full £10 a day for the challenge
- Take £10 out of the bank each week and not spend any more than this on coffees/lunch extras etc whilst at work. Any surplus into ISA.
- Do a car boot sale with Pania
- List at least 10 things on ebay
- Start jogging.........hmm
- Stick to diet.......double hmmm

Fantastic thread! Ok, here's my extremely long list of things that I want to do in May - many of them are things that I have been trying to get done throughout April unsuccessfully:
Money
£10-a-day challenge - want to aim for £20 including Ebay
Try and complete the Olympic Challenge - £348.46 to go
Sort out new spreadsheet based on all new ins/outs since house move
Write to HSBC about reclaiming mortgage redemption fees
List at least 50 new items on Ebay and do 200 listing edits (it's complicated!)
At least 50 mysearchfunds clicks a day
Do ALL surveys except the really poor or prize draw ones
Check Pigsback accounts twice a week
Be brass-necked enough to hand as many coupons as poss when shopping
Re-try the free bongo, and play Free Gala on Thursdays
Home
Finish all the rooms we've started to decorate
Find ironing lady and gardener (sorry folks, it just won't get done otherwise!)
Get all our stuff out of friend's garage where it's in storage
Properly clean/tidy the house, then keep it clean!
Organise the paperwork mountain and not let it build up again
Family/Friends
Spend less time on here () and more playing with DS (Not the Nintendo one!)
Try and find babysitter so DH & I can get a night to ourselves, even just for a couple of hours.
Write all the Thank-You cards I've not done yet for baby gifts
Ring mother more often and be more patient with her!
Reply to all the emails I've got flagged
Health
Lose half a stone this month. But need to get weighed first to see start weight!
NOT visit McDs more than once a week, however convenient it is!
Try to cook a proper meal at least every other day
Find slow cooker and use at least once a week
Try and eat the 5-a-day at least every other day
Walk to work, park or Post Office (1-1.5 miles) 3 times a week
Keep on at DH until he fixes bikes, then actually use them!
That's a hell of a lot but nothing in there that shouldn't be totally do-able - a lot of it is stuff that normal people do anyway without any difficulty whatsoever! Sorry to use so much page space, I just find that if I post lists I'm far more likely to do them than if I keep them in my head! I'm going to copy that list over to my own diary as a reminder of what I'm meant to be doing.
Hope everyone else manages to stay on track!0 -
I'll join in with this. My aims for May are:

Not very much but every little helps.0 -
