I'm tempted by it too but just saw the 160Gb version being sold by the same seller for £49.99. That wasnt the worry though - it was the boxed weight of 3.2kg for that one versus 2kg for the "500Gb" one. Does make you wonder if this is just the shell?0
-
3.2kg is flippin heavy for a dvd drive and a hard disk!
Everything implies it is the 500gb disk - still, you pays your money you takes your chance! If it is what it says - it is a bargin isn't it?
As another poster put it - another £45 of money "saving"!!0 -
ah well, ATMT website said it was 1.8kg inc dvd and hdd.
gone for one anyway - i've not been on a wild goose chase for a while so something for my cynical side to look forward to!

I noticed in the seller comments this nice little touch.
Comments: Manufacturer Direct!YES AND ONLY £39.99 WHILE STOCKS LAST!
Looking good unless of course the 2 in stock bit is true in which case I'm stuffed as I came too late to this party.
Certainly too good to miss a try though."Hey, if love is blind, how come lingerie is so popular?" Cochrane. P673 TNG.0 -
wow - this is a complete bargain then!0
-
anyone know if it has any audio/visual outputs please? e.g. composite, scart etc?0
-
the cheapest 500gb (internal) hard disk on scan.co.uk is £45, so this is definitely a bargain if it is what it says it is...0

No audio/video outputs. It's not a "Media Center" just an external Hard Disk/DVD Writer combination unit. Blooming good deal though. Can't wait to get mine as I've been meaning to make an image of my PCs main hard drive in case it crashes "again"0
