If I keep to my personal account and not upgrade to a business account, then I can accept payments from a debit card, but not a credit card. That way I won't be paying paypal fees. Are people likely to go for that?Quidco cashback paid out so far £745.89 :j0

I think you ( as personal account) only don't get charged if the buyer uses funds already in his account ( ie from a previous sale) not loaded up by either credit/debitAny posts on here are for information and discussion purposes only and shouldn't be seen as (financial) advice.0

The problem with limiting paypal transactions to balance only payments is that you cannot then tick the paypal option on payment methods. It means you then have to have lots of terms and conditions in your auction listings explaining that you haven;t listed paypal but will take it in certain circumstances. Seeing that in an auction is enough to put people off bidding.
If you do continue to tick the 'I accept paypal' then the invoice defaults to paypal payment and you can't limit where funds come from.
Many people don't bother with cheques anymore, so if they can't pay by paypal you will lose a lot of potential bidders.

I have decided to upgrade, I am sure I will be able to find other things to sell when I have finished with the records. Thanks for the advice.
