MBNA Pressure Selling

At Oxford Services today (on the M40) were a couple of young ladies promoting the MBNA National Trust card. The spiel was that the card would be sent out "unactivated" and that nothing further would happen until I "officially accepted" it. I don't want to get too far off topic but I do admit to finding it hard to ignore people like this, even if I really don't want to talk to them! When I first started working in London I would end up with around ten "Big Issues" per week.
I even stop for a chat with watch sellers and ladies who waylay me in Soho but I'm pleased to say have never committed to either.
I may well be stupid but like to think I'm just "nice".
