on a game this size i expect reailers had to agree to not ship too early to keep the launch day a big event
so play may have left it late
for me 1st class from play takes about 3 days usually,never less though

Did you stipulate that time was of the essence to the contract?
You might have problems with them accepting it back (not experienced their returns policy) as they are not covered by UK consumer laws so distance selling regulations should not apply. Off topic but were you yet another parent buying an over 18 game that involves mass murder and prostitution for a child?

To be fair to them, as much as I think they're dire, I've never had them refuse a return when something has turned up too late x

I think you may just have had bad luck mate. I pre ordered mine from PLAY 3 weeks ago, the payment came out my bank last Friday, got an email on Monday to say it had been dispatched and it arrived Tuesday morning.

I was lucky I think!

I've given up with play.com now. My last two game orders never turned up, no replies to emails so I just cancelled. I no longer shop with them as I've had far better service from other online companies.

I personally have had no problems with Play. They have always been excellent, even during the Xmas period. I think a bit of bad luck may have been the case.

What is it with games players? If people don't get it on the day its released they go into a sulk. With this GTA, there were 2 knifings and a beating up in queues waiting to buy the darned thing.

I'm not one for heavy censorship and enjoy playing online games myself, but this sort of behaviour really makes me worry about this type of game...and the testosterone fuelled people who play them.

I've never had any problems with play, the last time i pre - ordered something it was delivered a day before it came out!!!

If it is sent it will turn up soon enough, if it hasn't then feel free to cancel the order - it will only take a couple of mouse clicks
