i pre ordered GTA for my ds 5 weeks ago with play.com and they took the payment from my bank last thursday. phoned them up yesterday and was promised it for today (the release is today) and guess what no gta in the post.

Phoned them up again today ands now it could be friday which is crsapp service. got it anyway from GAME in merryhill so they can shove it where the sun dont shine cause im having a refund....

In my experience, Play don't actually post things until the day of release, rather than delivering them for the day of release. Then 3-5 days, Friday would be quick! x

the one that collected it from jersey,got the ferry and drove up with it?
if play are saying it maybe friday then i guess they know it wasnt sent in good time for a release day delivery
i always used gameplay for prerelease buys and they were always on the day

You sometimes get things the day before release with Play, it really does depend on the post. 1st Class can take UP TO 14 working days for delivery. That is through no fault of Play's but rather the RM.

I got a DVD the other week from Play , dispatched on the Thursday before the Monday release date, arrived on the Saturday , so I was watching it 2 days before release

The game was probably the biggest game release in a very very long time, probably ever so you can hardly blame them to be honest. Regardless of when you preordered.

This is weird actually! I have a helluva lot of trouble everytime I order from Play - I don't seem to get half my orders! And the OP would apparently live fairly near to me if he's buying from the Merry Hill Game - perhaps Play don't like us! x

i live about 7 miles from merry hill nelly.

i was really ragged off with play for lettin me down on the GTA game yesterday but in their defence they are usually pretty okay with other stuff ive had off them.
The reason i preordered was to get the game on the day so ds could play xbox LIVE with the rest of the world lol. anyway STILLLL aint recieved it yet so will have to wait even longer before i can send it back for a refund.

its a bit off though, taking money a wek before (likely) despatchg date.. though as a big title (?), best hang back til friday, in case there is a backlog og of mailing..
