So we'll both be unhappy that they've dropped that rate to 5.5% today (and the normal variable to 4.36%)!
So - despite I was going to wait - I've just opened a BM E-saver at 6.5%.

Yeah, there's been 0.25% reduction! It's getting more and more useless. I just opened the cash card option as well.
Did HBOS notify you of any of the reductions. They have NEVER told me, just the usual incidental findings.0 -
No notification. Just happened to note the rate whilst looking at my Portfolio at lunch time.
I've just had a largish fixed rate mature ... and it was sitting at the 5.75% whilst I decide 'where next'. Hence the decision to pop it somewhere more beneficial for a few weeks.
But I've still got lots of fixed rate ISAs with Halifax .... so you're not alone!If you want to test the depth of the water .........don't use both feet !0
