Hi
in a shopping centre in Glasgow 2 guys were selling a new talk talk deal. this included calls to uk landlines anytime and international calls to all conutries except the carribean. all costs 5.49. if this is true, its amazing. they did write this down for me and have said that if any of this is untrue, they will give me the money back. this is only a 30 day contract!
cudnt see any of these things on their website anyway

i would have thought they'd have it printer out on an official doc. if it were true. Why would they 'write it down'?0

Yes, I'm on this deal. I've been with TalkTalk for a long time and unlike some companies they offer deals to existing customers too. You pay £10.50 per month on top of that for line rental (which has to be with TalkTalk) and you get free Broadband in with it.0

Be careful though as I believe if you let Talk Talk take over the line rental part of your telephone line you could be limited with what isp's you can use for your broadband and may in fact have to use theirs0

yes if you want a normal BT line again it would end up costing you £125 to move back!0 -
Talk Talk do offer very good deals but they do mess up some of their customer every now n then...
I was with them nearly 2 years ago on their option 3 contract, it was fine for about 4-5 months then they started to mess around. For example..
1. I couldn't go online at all and when I called them (indian call centre) they just transferred me to different department and after you stay on the line for certain time, they used to cut me off.
2. Few months after my Internet problems, my phone line went down. I called them and reported fault. Techie people phoned me n told me what to check but no joy and then they told that thet will sort it out with in 7 working days. 10 days later I called them but CS told me that fault wasn't logged and I had do everything again..but no joy for a month so I cancelled the contract without paying any fine....
Sometime they do some work on the local telephone exchange and mess thing up for some customer. All the people I recomended, never had a problem with their services.0 -
If you move your line rental to Talk Talk they can and do bar access to cheap call suppliers like 18185/1899.
They charge for caller display £1.75 a month, its free with BT.
Their line rental is now £11.75 a month if you want paper billing.See

To get the £5.89 offer you have to take their so called free ? broadband otherwise its £6.49 see http://www.talktalk.co.uk/talktalk/servlet/gben-server-PageServer?article=MAIN.UK.TALKTALK.STATIC.LLSTATIC.TARIFFS.INTERNATIONAL0 -
Yes I was reading a post the other day about someone who had moved their line rental to talk talk but had chosen not to change isp's their internet was completely cut off and as mentioned in other posts the person is now stuck, they either have to take talk talk's broadband, cancel the contract and pay what's outstanding and also pay to go back to BT0

I am with Talktalk-phone and broadband. My experience of their customer service in India is that its diabolical!Drives me mad-hanging on for ever and then like OP then being told no details of having phoned before! My son has been waiting for a modem for a month and they phone ever other day-my pregnant daughter in law has been reduced to tears by the attitude and asked to speak to manager and they cut her off!so be prepared!!!!!!:j this money saving is such fun:T0

I wouldn't touch TalkTalk with a barge pole. I had the displeasure of dealing with them once before, and (in general) you have to deal with some of the most incompetent people. There systems seem to be majorly fragmented, to the point that they will tell you that they have done something, only for the request to get stuck in another system. (or is this a ploy to justify the bull that they spit out at you!?!)
As you can probably tell - I'm not a TalkTalk lover, and this is just my two pennies worth.
My advice though - avoid if you can.....0
