I would recommend that you either send a copy of your complaint to GE money as well as they are responsible under section 75 of the consumer credit act - the salesman was acting as their agent.
Alternatively just write to GE money making an official complaint of the way this was sold.
They have to acknowledge your complaint within 5 days and then deal with it with a final response to you no later that 8 weeks.
If you are not happy with their response you can take the matter to the Financial ombudsman - this will not cost you but it will cost GE money regardless of which way their ruling goes - it is therefore in GE's interests to resolve this matter with you as soon as possible.0
