well i have two tried and tested remedies one that i have used on my self through my teens to my child's and teen cousins the first one is New Era Cal Sulp number 3 these are homoeopathic tablets for acne they work a treat... Even a member of family who all their life has had bad acne get's a prescription for it from their g.p. has taken these and the difference is noticeable... I buy our's from holland and barratt but have found that my local chemist will get them for me :jprice approx £4.25 depending on where you go!!
My second suggestion(which we have used for 4years now as i dont like to wash my skin in a lot of chemicals ) is a face wash called "Thoroughly Clean Face Wash with organic tea tree oil and awapuhi" made by Desert Essence also available from Holland and barratt but i have found that another health shop sells it please bear in mind that its£7+ depending on where you buy it !!! but you only need the smallest amount of face wash ..I love it as soap dries my skin this does not plus it goes far so you save in the long run
    hope this helps
 wins to date..................none!! nadda... zilch... nothing not a blinking thing AT ALL .. Oh well... may be one day .:o

I've just managed to buy some Castor Oil. Boots don't sell it anymore so I had to hunt it down in a small chemist. The pharmacist in Boots said that they don't sell it because of European laws!

I have become a tea tree oil convert and now use Australian Bodycare skinwash which has slow has down the number outbreaks of spots, blackhead and whitehead I get. You can buy it from QVC in litre sizes and is great value - They have it on special offer sometime. Look out for it on in Beauty month in July because they will probably have some special deal on it.

Instead of blemish sticks, use tea tree oil on spots. You only need to use a few drops and 10ml goes along way though you do get carried away!!!

I been told to buy top of range skincare and I do but you don't have pay spectacular prices. Superdrug sell Decleor, Elizabeth Arden and Clarin for half the price than in other stores but get in there quick as they sell out quick.

    Help this helps.

I got some caster oil in Boots. It wasn't on the shelves so I asked at the pharmacy counter. It was less than a pound.

I've never tried it myself but I have heard of using gelatin. If I remember correctly you wet a sheet & press it over your nose or wherever you need it and leave it for a while. When you pull it off it supposedly pulls the gunk out :o I will try it one day but keep forgetting to buy the gelatin sheets when I'm in the supermarket.

I'm sure I read about it on this site? I'll try to find it.

Edit: found a link but they use a different method:

I thought that it was weird about Boots and the Castor Oil excuse. The pharmacist said that Boots didn't sell it anymore as Europe didn't know whether to classify it as a medicine or a food. It sounded like bs to me!

I've done the castor oil deep cleansing three times now and I'm amazed at the difference! I don't have very big blocked pores but they were noticeable, now they're not as blocked, some have melted away and some have popped out when I gently apply pressure after cleansing, the oil makes them slippery! I would say that over half have gone now, especially the big ones. What a great suggestion!

I have tried to get some castor oil last weekend and couldnt get any in boots - where else would sell it?

Tried using a bit of detol antispectic stuff on a cotton wool ball after soacking my skins and gently pressing on the poors and it has worked a little bit.
I have enough money to last me the rest of my life, unless I buy something
