Just spotted this while checking out the callchecker:

I spotted that too - on their web site there is an astericks * next to the Free though, but I can't find anything which says what the astericks means. (ie: what is the catch!)

Ah found it - it say's " *Free if included in cross network minutes!, Check your tariff plan/mobile provider "

But how much is it from your home line?

Oops caught out again. Only after mailing this number did I realised that this was a mobile number. I have e-mailed them about this in the hope of getting a reply. Sorry about this, very misleading of them I think.

topupnow has recently been added to the International Call Checker

Yes I noticed they [topupnow] were also offering 0p a minute calls and was a bit wary after the Dialwise small print - can you confirm that you just need to 'top up' at a cost of £1.50 and then you can call 'free' as much as you like (in other words your £1.50 balance will stay the same until/unless they change their 0p /min rates?) Sounds almost to good to be true.

It varies sometimes its the standard rate,sometimes its treated as an intl calling card service, etc etc,best left well alone in my opinion, its a minefield.

No it will go down cos there is a connection charge of 5p.
