hi all, back from work, a bit soggy round the edges!

Sar - if the machine is still full, put it onto the beginning of the rinse cycle, you'll hear the pump kick in and the water will empty. If it doesn't want to spin after that, to get the clothes out, switch it off, then off at the wall. This will unlock the door after the minute or so it usually stays locked at the end of the cycle. (good tip from a washing repair man!)

If the pump won't kick in.......put lots of towels down i'm afraid and then switch off at the wall........

I had an awful washer drier years ago - it's the only thing I've ever bought extended warranty on - ever - and it broke down time after time. It had 3 new valves, new brushes, 2 new pumps, new rubber seal and a new motor in less than 3 years. Very fortunate that I was naive to buy it in a weird way!

Use something like mysupermarket to enter your shopping in (it'll compare prices at Asda, tesco, sainsbury's and ocado). I used it when trying to work out what I spent each week and month on shopping - fairly accurate as well.

Got to go to Tesco to get some cheese and yoghurt. Can't believe I forgot them on Saturday and now the cheese omelette I'm making for tea will end up being plain omelette!

Hope everyone's had a good day.

Sarah - ((hugs)) about the washing machine. When mine broke a few years ago, we had to lug our washing to mum's house. Thankfully she's hang it out to dry and sometimes even iron it for us:D. Dad would just leave festering in the WM saying "there's nowt wrong with her tumble drier"
