Hi everyone. Hope you're all well today. Well, well, a wee bit closer to the weekend (every little helps), but got a busy afternoon ahead. Have had to book out one of our quiet rooms as one of my colleagues has a nasty habit of asking questions when I'm in the middle of reading legal documents. He's a kind of 'need it now' guy and sometimes forgets that other people may be in the middle of doing their own important stuff that has a deadline
Colleagues. Don't ya just love 'em?Almost debt-free, but certainly even with the Banks!0 -
Morning all. It's official, our washing machine has given up the ghost.... FULL OF WATER  How the hell do I empty it???? And now we've got to buy a new one! _pale_

Felling your pain IA - ours packed up a few months ago and dozy me thought if I put it on another cycle it will empty the water but no it just put more water in and flooded the kitchen. I have a weird irrational fear of water pipes, cisterns etc so I hid in the living room while OH did something and manually pumped the water out. A wire from a bra had blocked it up - I still insist it wasnt me!
Bus driver just let me on the bus for a half cos he thought the price to go 3 stops was extorniate bless him.

what a nice thing for the bus driver to do!!

Oh that is so poo Sar. Why dont you get onto freecycle for a washer. I got one from them at the weekend. Its like new. Slap a wanted ad on there. That way you wont need to spend any money a new one. I am so hooked on freecycle now. Got a fab rug as well from a lady who had moved and it would no longer fit into her living room.Night Owl Member No 1 :rotfl: :rotfl:

Have you actually had the machine looked at. It maybe something simple. You could get a quote to see how much it would cost to fix it.Night Owl Member No 1 :rotfl: :rotfl:

Hi, morning all
Just had the most awful call from BT, the man was rude aggressive and intimidating, he passed me through to someone else, I made a payment offer but again rejected, I asked for some charges to be waivered but the horrible woman just said they could only accept £5 less than the balance. I told her that my offer was reasonable based on other creditors and basically if they could not accept the offer, they wouldn't get paid.
She just spent 5 minutes lecturing me....
Feel so down, a supervisor is suposed to be calling me back but what is the point, if they won't accept a pro rata payment, what can a supervisor do?
