  • i sent my application back on the 14th April. I rang them 2 days ago (29th April) and they said that they were just working through applications recieved on the 16th April. I have asked them to backdate the interest i should have earned whilst the cheque has been sitting in my current account earning no interest for over 2 weeks. It took some doing trying to get through to the phone lines and the lady I spoke to said they had had an 'unexpected' number of applications! I would suggest that if you haven't heard by now, i would chase them up. hope that helps.

yesterday the money went out of my account so they should send it soon ,after all i posted mine on the 6th april so theres a yard stick to measure by !!after last years chaos with barclays i expected better and they never back dated the interest so it`s from the 20th may, that one took over a month ,gerrrrrrr:confused:

    glad someone replyed thank you
  • i am glad they have finally got it sorted, here's hoping mine goes soon too. its very hard trying to plan your finances when you have a huge lump of money sitting in your current account that you can't do anything with!
  • Georgie24, did they agree to backdate your interest or not?
I too am waiting for my cheque to be cashed which I sent on 15th April, I don't think I'll bother with the phone line fight just to see where it is, but will do so if there's a chance of the backdated interest.

Had a letter this morning (hand addressed !!) stating they are taking on extra staff to cope and will backdate the interest to 17 April, the date they received the cheque.
  • yep. i got that letter too, agreeing to backdate to the date they received the cheque. the money is still in my account though which is very annoying.. i could have been earning interest twice!!

  • I sent off an ISA application on 14/4/08. My cheque was cashed on 14/5/08 but I'm still waiting for evidence that MY money is in MY account.
To top off a cracking customer service, BM are now too busy? to take phone enquiries!
