B&Q Going Going Gone Event Friday 2nd May

Hi all,

My friend works at B&Q and the inside info is that there is going to be another GGG day this Friday the 2nd May. Don't know what is in it apart from the 600x600mm black/beige porcelain tiles that were on sale recently at about £11 a pack, they are going to be virtually given away she says.

If I get any more info I'll let you know asap!!!

ooh, i wanted the shed and trampoline last time but got there at 11am and was sold out. think im going to get there at opening time next time. the shed was only £30!. thank you, will keep checking back.

I heared the same thing about a 3G Sale coming up, so your info is probably correct. It was the gardening manager of our local store who told us, as he believed it was going to include bark chippings.

May 3rd is Saturday not Friday

Sale has just been confirmed by my mate who finished at 8pm - it starts FRIDAY 2ND MAY

FYI Derby warehouse (where she's at) opens at 7AM but check cos some open at 8am.

Ok guys - here goes!!!

Here's the email from my B&Q buddy:

quote-The big tiles 600x600mm black, I'm not sure if the cream ones are included and we can see what appears to be a brown version though it still says black on the box. (a LOT of pallets of these so far)

Cooker hoods (only seen one or maybe two pallets)

Fence panels (loads of them, the back yard is full)

Outdoor store/shed type thing (about 8 pallets)

Carbon monoxide detector (currently 15 quid, may be down to a tenner) (400 came in on Saturday night)

Decking 1.8meters (3 pallets of them)

Other outdoor things appear to be included, like fence posts. (looks to be a lot) - quote

I have no further info on prices or anything other than what's shown above - again, if I do then it will be posted asap!

Luckily for me, she can save anything the night before if I want owt (as can any staff I think) so if you get there on Fri and it's gone before the store opens then the chances are the staff have had it - perks of the job I suppose - they don't get many perks so don't be too harsh on them on Friday!!!!!

Hi - I also work at Derby and can confirm what gertybertyangel says - and yes, the staff do have first pickings so any of the good stuff may well be gone.

There is plenty of stock with a '3G' label on at the mo though, so good luck!!!

Hope you get a bargain - I'm after a monoxide detector myself - we should all have one regardless of the price, but at a tenner there's no excuse - please try to get one if you can
