well they have actually increased it now to £1100 a massive increase. I will ring up monday asking it to go back down to £500 or £200.

Instead of asking them to decrease the credit limit why don't you cancel it while it's at £1100 which will stay on your credit file and apply for a card with a much lower interest rate and even 0% for X months?

because I do actually use it for small things. My interest rate is effectivly 0% I pay it in full every month. If I do apply for a better card tho I wont be cancelling this first because if I got turned down I am left with no card.

I have had one increase, £200 > £500 on the fourth statement back in November last year.

Yes that seems to be the case London, but how many people have Capital One helped over the years, it is a win win relationship with them, you get a credit card, they get your business with hope that you dont bump them.

True , but my credit file aint bad (apart from too many searches with experian) and I doubt they will increase my limit. But other companies , for example next give me a limit of nearly 4k .Not that I would go there! And my old vanquis card had a limit of 1.5k.
