Motorola V220 on O2 - Free Line Rental 12 Months

The MobileShop are offering a free 12 month line rental contract with 200 x net minutes 200 texts.
I wanted to check with you guys on the reliablity of this offer and the reliability of MobileShop themselves.
Any comments?

Blimey - that's a good deal. I used MobileShop aeons ago and there were fine and dandy - next day delivery. Mind you, this was in the days before cashback deals, but £75 every three months seems sound enough to me. I suppose the only drawback is forking out £25 a month until month 5...

Hmmm, thats quite good. At least they dont sound like the stupid companies who are only around for a few months before they run off with your money. I should be getting this hopefully!

The problem with these deals is the cashback element.

Read the T&Cs BEFORE you get the phone ask them to mail / fax you a copy.

I got my phones from OSPS, the dates for OSPS are calender months from connection not billing date. The period for sending the paperwork in is small. They were taken over by CPW (so should be financially sound)

Check who this outfit are are how long they have been trading. Companies like forward cellular went bust owing punters lots of cash back!

I wish there was a betterway of getting the discounts WITHOUT cash back.

The only alternative is a PAYGO phone but the call costs are higher!

Search the threads for OSPS to read about the pitfalls of cashback offers like this!

Hmmm, well it seems they've been around since 1997 (not that that says much but there you are.....) so hopefully their not going to decide 2005/2006 is the year they want to go bust in.
