• [STRIKE]check ebay and amazon[/STRIKE] Nothing sold yet
• [strike]check online banking and work out money requirements for August[/strike] DONE and need OH to bring in £1426.53 somehow.....too early to panic yet.
• [STRIKE]Have free lunch[/STRIKE] DONE
• Have Free meal at Pizza Express including a big fat pudding
• Go to a pre-season football friendly - "kids for a quid" - bargain
• check for mystery shops available
• print paperwork for this weeks mystery shop
• [STRIKE]Pay in postal order (still not done this from last week!)[/STRIKE] DONE

I have to laugh at DD's request for GHDs - but I suppose they will never come up at a car boot sale or on freecycle!

OH has "fiddled" with the laptop - by which I think he just pressed every button in every combination until it decided to play fair........we shall see how long it is before it dies again.....Warranty ran out last week, so it is about right.....:rolleyes:

I have just bought myself a new diary.......this one is a mid year to mid year one and is a small handbag sized job.....with one page per day - and I will purely be using it to write finance stuff in eg:

• how much we have got
• how much we have in emergency savings........well, you never know!
• how much we are expecting in from quidco etc
• how much we still have to pay
• how much we still have to find

At the moment I do my morning calculations on the backs of envelopes, post it notes and the like......so I thought this little book might be worthwhile, and the aim is that by having it with me all the time, I might not "forget" things and get bank charges.......
We shall see......it had better work - the bloomin diary cost me £7.49 :eek: But I had to spend that much to get one small enough, nice enough to carry around, and with one page per day rather than one week per page.....:o I am working on the fact that if I can avoid just one bank charge, it will have paid for itself.........

LOL el, no, strangely enough, I did see it at the weekend, but didn't read it.......it is saying something where just the sight of that book gets me organising things!!!!!

Just went to write in the new diary and it doesn't start until Friday :rolleyes: Looks like I will be having a few more backs of envelopes yet.....:p

Love the sound of the diary. I'm trying to sort fuel too and finding it v difficult - lord only knows why.

Helpful hint for the day: staple the envelopes to the beginning of the diary!

I've got a new diary as well - mines a week to a page but with a balnk page opposite for writing lists on !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Have finished the painting - just got to wait for it to dry and see whether I need another coat or not.
