That's exactly what I was thinking and because your work is set hours. It gives you other times to fit in housework a bit at a time and then it's not so daunting for you.0

What a nice day! My garden really does look like that at the moment - no cars! - but my neighbour is chopping down the leylandii that were on his property when he moved in. They're on our boundary, and he's had to come into my garden and saw branches up. He tried it with a chain saw last year and almost chopped 3 fingers off, and its taken him till now to recover. I love my neighbour!
The difference in the garden is already staggering, so much light there now.

DD has a new "hobby" to keep her occupied in the holidays........and all very MSE.....
She is doing slice the pie and has her own quidco account now for daily clicks.......it will be interesting to see how much she "earns" over the next few weeks :T
If nothing else, it will show her that I work bloomin hard for a few extra pennies......so she will learn valuable lessons and/or valuable cash one way or another.
Dinner tonight was yum (just changing the subject slightly!) sausage plait (yum yum) new potatoes with mint from the garden, dripping with butter, and sweetcorn........perfect(and very cheap, which helps!)
