Oh no! What about a skateboard? :rotfl: or, you see grown men on those silver scooters round here, could he do that? :rotfl: :rotfl:2023: the year I get to buy a car0

erm, hon, hate to tell you, didn't you sell the kids pogo stick at the boot fair???
Poor Mr hypno will be walking at this rate!!!:D
urm....yup.....ah well....we still have the roller blades in the garage.....:D
.....and as for walking......never did anyone any real harm, did it
I have decided that I am going for one of those elusive NSDs today - I have nothing in my purse, and do not want to go to the bank and take anything out.....I have a shortfall this month to make up, so taking £10 out of the bank just isn't going to help.
I am not overly concerned about the shortfall - I can probably make it up with a bit more ebaying effort.....but obviously I do not want to compound the problem.
So, I have a packed lunch (jam sandwiches.......yum!) and no "need" to spend any cash.......I will update on my progress at the end of the day!Successful women can still have their feet on the ground. So far so good on the NSD front - I have just got through lunch (jam sandwiches were lovely, although one of the guys here looked at them and said "are you skint then") without spending anything.........
.....half way there!
Oh, and two mystery shops picked up for next week too......:DSuccessful women can still have their feet on the ground. They just wear better shoes. (Maud Van de Venne)Life begins at the end of your comfort zone (Neale Donald Walsch)0 -
Good luck for the nsd Hypno and well done on the extra mystery shops.
What did you reply to the "skint" comment?!
I know you have aforeign student in term time and have a new one arriving in September but had you thought of taking language students over the summer? If you have a language school near-ish to you they're usually desperate for families over the summer as they have loads of students for varying periods of time. We had anything from one week to several months when we did this.
Just a thought and no doubt if it was an option you'd already have done it "knowing" you! Haha Verbatim - you really DO know me.......we have a language student coming over for a 3 week summer school starting next Wednesday :rotfl:
As for the "skint" comment - I simply said that I had a yearning for my childhoodSuccessful women can still have their feet on the ground. They just wear better shoes. (Maud Van de Venne)Life begins at the end of your comfort zone (Neale Donald Walsch)0 -
The scary thing is though, that because this is for a "new" school for us.....they want to do a home visit before the student arrives..........
............cue some very rapid housework over the next day or so :eek:Successful women can still have their feet on the ground. They just wear better shoes. (Maud Van de Venne)Life begins at the end of your comfort zone (Neale Donald Walsch)0 -
