Yes, the car has gone.....but OH bike cost a LOT more (no, I am not bitter, not in the slightest, never even said "I told you so") than he expected, so although a little has gone off the debt, it was nothing like I expected.

Ho hum.....that is the way that it goes!!! At least the running costs will be reduced :D

  • Yep running costs will reduce so with the tax, insurance petol etc saved per mth plus the loan payment that has ended you have 'freed up' a chunk of money from this month... All good stuff. x

Oh yes, all good changes in the right direction.

Just hope OH doesn't hang about in getting a job sorted......otherwise the bike will have to go too, and he will be on the kids' pogo stick

  • Actually pogo stick would be cheap way for him to get about  :p How much would the bike pay off the debt ;)

Is he actively looking for a job or waiting for one to jump in his lap?

Edited to say that question sounded harsh sorry is was not meant to, I know he only just started garden leave I just meant is he looking Hypno stylee?

:rotfl: Sorry, but the image of Mr Hypno on a pogo stick really amused me!

KM, I am perhaps being a little harsh....he IS looking for a job - just not in the way that I would probably go about it.....but he has 6 weeks before the garden leave finishes, so perhaps not too bad....and he has picked up some extra bits of work already which are helping........but I would be much happier if there was a "proper" job with a "proper" start date, and a "proper" salary structure.....!

Loving the pogo-ing - those sticks were so magical! Not feeling sorry *for* you, hypno, never fear, I just know that feeling, of, right, I'm *not* going to buy this, I'm going to stick to that dratted budget. But I don't have people who see me in an office every day - people I know only see me once a week, maybe twice! I don't have to ring the changes in the same way..

half way through the week.......not much "moneymaking" going on today - work then off to do the karate admin. I will check for mystery shops, do the banking, try to spend as little as possible, etc but nothing more than that today, I'm afraid!

Have a good day, everyone xx
