You're in the lead so far, evab!!

Next year is a tough one - I have no teaching hours, but one of my jobs for today is to apply to adult ed (closing date tomorrow, need to get my skates on!) so if I get some guaranteed hours with them, then I will carry on.

If I don't get guaranteed hours, there are a few people on the course that have offered me chances to go and teach their groups for a couple of sessions. I need 70 hours so might have to scrap around "begging" hours - not ideal but if it is a way of completing the course then it might be worth doing.

I am of the opinion that I am half way through, so it would be a waste of the hard work I have done this year if I do not carry on, although it will be even harder next year if I have to find teaching hours from somewhere!

Ooh I like 'daunting but do-able' - sums up the next few months for me too, committed to a few too many things outwith the normal budget :o

Good luck Hypno with the assignments and good luck Duchy with the interview!

    I'm baaaack
    I got the job-start Tuesday.
Apparently they had advertised and assumed I was answering the advert-so were very surprised when I mentioned something as grubby as money LOL
Seems a nice school-none of our high schools are especially high achieving as we are quaint enough to still have grammer schools too but it had a much nicer atmosphere than the high school I worked at before :)
I have hours just about every day with the prospect of "other jobs" in addition as we go along so all in all I'm VERY glad I took your advice and sent that email Hypno-Thank you !

Fab news, Duchy. I am not surprised there is work next week - you may well be reasonably busy now for the next few weeks! Then at the end of the year they do mocks and re-sits if you want extra hours!

    And a nice job too!

    Thanks :)
I'm really pleased with it especially as I can walk home from work (probably not *to* work as DS will be heading off for his own exams and I want to do the "good Mummy waving off her cherub" bit-and anyway it's downhill on the way home ;) )

Hypno, meant to ask, how's the diet going? Are you onto the more 'relaxed' stage yet?
