OK, so far, no college work done
I have downloaded Microsoft office student version as per Martin's email but it has taken me HOURS! Ah well, it seems to be on the laptop now, so hopefully it will have been worth the hassle - the price was certainly a bargain, so very happy to have that.......now to get the "Excel for Dummies" book out!!
Mr T has delivered the shopping - all away and cupboards, freezer and fridges full. I am hoping that with a bit of savvy meal planning I can get away with just a small shop for the next couple of weeks.
Two matched bets placed - pants odds, but should still come out with £20 ish profit after everything else is taken into consideration - not as good as I would like but not to be sneezed at!
Now need to do my phone mystery shop otherwise I will lose the chance.....Successful women can still have their feet on the ground. They just wear better shoes. (Maud Van de Venne)Life begins at the end of your comfort zone (Neale Donald Walsch)0 -
oooh thats a good profit. I got so side tracked with placing my bets that i forgot to keep note of my profit!!! I've worked it out to be about £13 but sure it's going to be more than that. Just keeping an eye on the ebdon v carter match. i have a stand alone bet on carter that i placed in my total muck up moment yesterday. luckily it looks asthough he will win but certainly not doing that again in a hurry!!!
Great news on the shopping, still trying to drag OH kicking and screaming myself!!
Grrrr and boot to the college work, mind you i can't talk as i've done no work either! oops. but welldone on everything else you've done.
got a phone appt at 18.30 so will stroll up after that if ok.
Take care til then!

Diet is going well, thanks! In the first two weeks I lost 6.5lbs! I am going to give the "strictness" the rest of this week - purely because I am at home, so it is easier to be strict here, than it will be when I go back to work next week.
So.....I have had no sugar, no chocolate, no carbs other than green veggies and salad for over 2 weeks now! I don't have the cravings now, but that is another reason for me to be strict with myself for the rest of this week, because those temptations are going to be surrounding me once I am at work again and I need to resist!!
OH is finding it harder - he has lost weight too, but misses his cereal and his bread.....I think that once I go back to work, he will go back to his "old" ways as he is still at home recovering for a few more weeks after his op!Successful women can still have their feet on the ground. the first week was a nightmare - I was so so tired! But now that things have settled down a bit, I find it quite easy.
I do miss chocolate though, but don't have cravings for it, which is good. I think that when I get onto the next stage, I can start adding in a square of dark chocolate each day........thing is, that my idea of a square is not the same as Atkins idea of a squareSuccessful women can still have their feet on the ground. :hello: Just thought I'd pop by whilst the kids were quiet and post in your new diary. Well done on the weight loss Hypno, its fab you must feel so much better, have you got a lot more energy?
I will have to go on a diet when I get home, only benefit here is i can't eat chocolate as it melts within minutes, so I've drunk wine instead.:D
Well done on the job as well Duchy :TLong haulers supporters DFW #109NR Loan #1 - £2951.18 Nov 08/0 -
Afternoon all - hope everyone has had a good morning.
well done on the weight loss Hypno - I'm aiming to lose 15lbs by July when DH & I have a big bash for a significant B/D. Birthdays are in the Autumn but DS is over from USA in July and we wanted her to share it!!!
Have done everything on my list to day. Just heard from DS and he is at Liverpool street so off shortly to pick him up.

Yeah, I've found that when I've tried to do a low-carb thing, had no energy at all - could do with a couple of weeks where I'm doing nothing and can adjust to something like that!
Am attempting minimal wheat and less carb than usual at the moment (except at the weekend when I ate junk)... definitely feel better for it though I don't think I've lost any weight yet.

Jellybabies, I am glad I am not the only one unable to stay away from MSE while on holiday!! It sounds like you are having a fab time!
I am not sure about having more energy, but I feel less tired for more of the day.....does that make sense? Probably notSuccessful women can still have their feet on the ground. They just wear better shoes. (Maud Van de Venne)Life begins at the end of your comfort zone (Neale Donald Walsch)0 -
After moaning yesterday about tax changes affecting pay it looks like they'll be pay increases here in May for everyone. Will wait for payslip at the end of May to see how much better off I am - student loan and pension contributions will go up slightly and seem to confuse online calculators but hoping it'll be a nice surprise.
And 2 sales on Amazon this week having had none for 2 months so am having quite a good week money wise after all. Need to help OH get some things ready for ebay tonight to list tomorrow and if I have time do my own too. :rolleyes:Initial Mortgage January 2024 - £160,000
