Evening all - busy busy busy as ever!

Whizzed home from work (well, as fast as the bus would carry me) and went straight out with the kids to the supermarket to get "special" food for DD's birthday lunch/dinner tomorrow - bless her, she chose to have ryvita with chocolate spread on for lunch, with plums.....and for dinner she wanted steak and kidney pie, chips and gravy - she considers that a real treat!!!!

I expect one day she will ask for a takeaway, or rump steak.....but at the moment she is still a joy to have about on a birthday!!

My amazon parcel netted me £12 profit after postage and fees, so that is welcome, and I have just done another phone mystery shop, with another one to do later on.

Like everyone else on this board at the moment though, the money goes out just as quickly as it comes in - despite having made money on ebay, matched betting, and getting a tax rebate, I still have nothing in the bank and had that awful stomach churning moment as I paid at the till in the supermarket.....hoping that the bank would allow us to pay!!

So, I console myself with thinking that at least we are surviving the credit crunch - without all this extra being made, along with savvy shopping, meal planning etc etc we would be in a right muddle. Thank goodness I found this site when I did!

    Have a good evening all!!

I know just what you mean, regarding the supermarket checkout and hoping I've added it up properly and thinking how much I've got in my purse which is usually nothing.

One day.........yes, one day.......we will be able to go to the checkout and just pay.....without worry.........(although we will still be savvy shoppers, handing over our tokens to pay for our bogofs and yellow stickers!!!)

Absolutely - but you are right - without this site and the extras we are making/saving - we would really be in the doodoo. May seem bad at the moment - but it would have been a whole lot worse - and at least there is an end in sight - even if it isn't coming quite as quickly as we'd like!

:T Happy Birthday to Miss Hypno - have to say though am with her on her birthday tea - I remember when I was a kid my absolute favourite meal was my mum's homemade steak and kidney with crumbly pastry on top! Yum!

    Happy Birthday Mini-Hypno

I see what you guys mean about the credit crunch - where would we all be without this place? Well done on squeezing in the mystery shops - can you receommned the compnay you do them for? I'm looking for some more ways to increase the trickle of cash I provide our house with.

Did you win anything on bingo? If it's Gala, I have yet to win a sausage, if you don't count the ipoints I got for signing up lol.
This year I'm getting organised once and for all, and going to buy a house with my wonderful other half. And that' s final!

    I know that feeling.

Hubby went to get some petrol tonight and I made him wait for me to check online banking before he went incase our card was rejected.

I am no snob but would be mortified if my card was refused.

    Thank god for online banking.
