Yep, sounds like I've just talked myself into another challenge I'm going to aim to have made €1000 from matched betting by the end of the summer holidays. I hope to make a start on this over euro 2008 and then the rest through the summer holidays I think I will need some help with this from you regulr m.b'ers .... first stage: this week ... re-read sevearl times all the rules

Yup as a newbie £1000 is easy done in six weeks, even with the July break from the footy. I did £3k in five months

Evening all - Well done Hypno on the ebay and Amazon sales.

Hope you had a good day - mine was c**p. Had frantic phone call at 9.15 from DS who was just going into his final exam to say that he'd tried to draw some money out and he was up to his limit and something for £292 had been taken from his account. As usual couldn;t get through to bank as it goes to call centre and I couldn;t remember my phone ID !!!! Had to leave work and dash 4 miles to branch (I've a 3rd party mandate on his account) to try and sort out what had gone wrong. Anyway after 45 minutes it was sorted - he had forgotten that he had had to issue two cheques re rent for house next year - one in March as holding deposit then one for end of May for 1st months rent.:mad: :mad: So enter the bank of Mum and Dad to transfer some dosh so he could eat for the next week!!!. He has been sensible with his money since becoming a student ( he has only a £600 O?D which is half what he was offered) but he relies on the online balance instead of his own accounting system :eek: :eek:

Finally got home from work at 6.30pm after having had to take DD and BF to cinema and meal out (she is going in for operation on Thursday on leg so will be unable to do stuff like that for a few weeks )

Thats it in brief really - ................ oh and had a health & safety Auditt in at work all day :eek: :eek: :eek:

Hi Hypno and all you other peeps. My oh tried mb and got in a bit of a pickle. He had a bet on with the Chelsea match (I think) a few weeks ago and because it was 0-0 at full time he lost the lot and then it went to penalties. I am hoping he will try again as he got very disheartened but the prospects of an extra 3k are very tempting. It is completely beyond me so it is up to him really. Gosh it has taken me yonks to type this as I am holding onto the new kitten. He likes to sit on my shoulder but he isn't impressed because I've just washed my hair!!!

Ooh, lucielle, that's not good! Mind you, I think we have all been "caught out" to some extent at some point - I am normally in the "danger zone" when I am trying to do things in a hurry.........not reading things properly etc.

That is why MB is not totally risk free - there is the "human error" element that we have to be aware of

But, generally, if you read read and read again, you can be reasonably confident of making a good amount of money! I know I did!! (and for the record, for those that don't know, it was Mizmir herself who dragged me kicking and screaming to place my first bet.........once upon a time!!)
