It helped that we had mice in the loft who would have trashed the boxes if they'd had a chance.
He is very impressed, but I may be nearly at the end of these treasures, and can't think I'll ever get that sort of total in a week ever again.
Hey ho, onward and upward getting rid of the clutter eh?0 -
An excellent [STRIKE]excuse[/STRIKE] reason for selling those dinky toys, OO!
Sadly we were too poor for toys when I was a child........(my mother will hate me for writing that! She hates me saying "we were so poor........" :rotfl: )so therefore I have nothing hiding in the loft that will make me *that* much money!!Successful women can still have their feet on the ground. Morning all!
Right, ebay packages all labelled, and ready to go - everyone paid up promptly so that is encouraging. I will update challenge totals etc once they have been posted so I can get a true idea of profit!
£12.50 received from a betting thingy too, and my first £9.66 of Amazon money has hit my bank, so swiftly swept across into the "debt/slush fund" pot.
Yesterday I bought a multi trip ticket for the bus - saves me a little bit more every day, and more importantly stops me going to the cash machine to get money out for bus fare, which invariably gets spent on other things.......:o

I am aiming for an "all or nothing" approach............so, if I can get out of the daily habit, then that has got to be better than one a day.
That way, it is a "treat" to have a coffee, rather than an everyday expense.
Best get dressed - the current "dressing gown" look, is so last year :rolleyes:Successful women can still have their feet on the ground. They just wear better shoes. (Maud Van de Venne)Life begins at the end of your comfort zone (Neale Donald Walsch)0 -
Brilliant on all fronts - I am impressed (as always!
)
Good luck on that reducing (melting?) snowball..... (what actually *is* the snowball? I know what it does and how useful it is but what does the snowball bit actually refer to?? enquiring minds..... haven't really thought about it before!)0 -
Hi mizmir - it is called a snowball because once you have paid off one debt, you are using the money from that to add to the next debt, thereby paying it off quicker, then when that gets cleared, the money is then added to the next one - so the snowball effect is because the money you are paying off gets bigger and bigger, rather like rolling a snowball that gathers the snow!
(ok, so not the best description, but it will have to do - now really do need to get dressed!!)Successful women can still have their feet on the ground. They just wear better shoes. (Maud Van de Venne)Life begins at the end of your comfort zone (Neale Donald Walsch)0 -
