Justice system isn't fine at all. I promise.
The credit agreement was processed fraudulently (laptop had already been returned).
Extortion and defamation ensued.
I was told the laptop probably had a modem. I did check. It didn't.
My credit card is charging me interest fraudulently every month then... charging it within the terms and condition I agreed to and signed for... those fraudsters...Have my first business premises (+4th business) 01/11/2017

Hi OP.
We bought a house two years ago. Have been perfectly happy with it but now in the cold winter we had a pot plant on the patio die......my OH is a wreck because of this.
If the bank didn't charge us interest on our mortgage we'd have been able to afford a greenhouse.
Can we claim from them? I was thinking of somewhere in the region of £7 to 8 billion would be suitable to recompense the loss? After all, they are breaking the law aren't they?0 -
they are breaking the law aren't they?
I reckon the banks are probably breaking the law almost every day. The problem we have is bringing them to justice.
I hope your OH will soon be over the loss of the pot plant. I don't think it's possible to put a price on the loss of a loved one. Sure, 8 billion might ease the suffering because he'd be able to help others that have suffered similar losses. It'll never replace the loss of life though.
I really don't think, in your situation though, from the information you've provided, that a claim would be viable.
A solicitor would probably advise that he has a "duty to the court", sorry. If it did get to court, the bank might argue that you could have bought a green-house or even a conservatory after they have scrutinised your finances. They may even suggest that you "killed" the plant by leaving it outside!
Although, the bank are charging you interest, at least they've given you a mortgage. There's plenty of us that are struggling to get that far due to malicious defamation by the banks.
Yes, cold winters aren't pleasant. I really hope the Supreme Court will award us enough to resume life in a warmer climate.

Hurry or you'll owe THEM money!
Sadly, one can't hurry the law.
Luckily, Scotland hasn't ditched the UK Supreme Court otherwise I'd already owe over £500K say (15 times my current salary!)
How many people in your area do you think would like to buy a house? Out of those, how many do you think are unable to do so because of their credit rating?
At some point in the next 6 years, house prices may rise to a level that they can't afford. It would be better for them to buy before that happens.
Malicious defaults from the banks prevent this.
It's those people that will benefit. Any idea on the numbers?
Cheers,

Indeed, although in the circumstances you describe, one may struggle. Perhaps there could be hope in the small print.
Far more blatant when one hasn't agreed to terms and conditions and the signature was post dated, having agreed the contract would not be enforced until one has agreed!0 -

The action isn't about loss of profit. It's about deliberately annihilating our plans to buy a family home. Fraud. The banks don't deserve sympathy, particularly HFC. You'll see.
You HAD a family home. You wanted to move to a different one
YOU WON ONE HUNDRED AND SIXTEEN THOUSAND POUNDS IN COMPENSATION
You got greedy and appealed for more.
You lost.0 -
I don't have a family home. I'm currently making do with a property I bought to get out of the renting game. My lodgers have long since left.
Compensation isn't the same as reparation. Reparation was awarded but miscalculated.
It's not about greed (remember I've spent over £200K and lost 13 years minimum of my life). It's about justice.
I haven't lost yet. There are still good guys willing to fight the evil.0
