Digihome DVB915 Freeview Digital Terrestrial Receiver

I have a Digihome DVB915 Freeview Digital Terrestrial Receiver that is giving me some problems, it is freezing and breaking up the speech on certain digital programmes, all of the terrestrial channels are ok, and some of the digital channels are ok, but there are a lot of the digital channels that break up, is there a quick fix for this that anyone knows of ?
I have tried switching off at the wall,(as someone suggested), and back on again, both immediately and leaving for 5 minutes, but it is making no difference.
The "signal level" bar at the bottom is only showing about 20%,( can't remember what it used to register, but it has worked since I got it until last night, and that only appeared to happen after 9-30 p m as I watched one of the digi channels until then)
It was purchased from Amazon 15 months ago, I have spoken to them to find out Digihomes phone numbere, but all I have got is a phone number in India and an email addy, I have emailed them, but don't hold out much hope.
I was hoping someone has had the same problem and manged to fix it, if not, is there a UK phone number?
Thanks

Your signal isn't great, but if nothings changed with your antenna set up I'd try a rescan of channels first.
It's possible that you have corroded contacts on your antenna so if you still have problems have a look at them. Whilst you're there you could shift it around a bit and see if you can increase the signal. Have a look at the direction of your neighbours' antenna.

I haven't got any problems with all the terrestrial channels, I was watching digital until 9-30 last night, I did rescan last night and this morning and nothing changed, I am getting some of the digi channels that don't break up, I am not going on the roof

Ariel appears to be in the same position as I remember it and is pointing in the same direction as the neighbours on the same chimney stack and same as others I can see.Don`t steal - the Government doesn`t like the competition0 -

Insufficient signal is your problem. If you only have 20% signal strength, you are likely to get lots of digital errors i.e. you signal to noise ratio will be poor. With an analogue signal the picture just degrades with loss of signal, with digital it basically works well or badly with a pixelated picture and sound break up etc. If your transmitter is not on low power due to maintenance, you need a better aerial. Blue text on this forum usually signifies hyperlinks, so click on them!..:wall:0 -

Must admit that is what went through my mind last night, but as I said, I was watching digital until 9-30 p m and I can still, match some of them now, it is just a few that are breaking up, maybe the transmitter is down for maintenance?
The analogue and digital that are watchable are good picture and sound.
I do not think the aerial is a problem.Don`t steal - the Government doesn`t like the competition0 -

Don't blame you, but if it was OK until now and it hasn't shifted then you may have to. If you are going up there you may as well replace the antenna if it's not a digital one (as espresso suggests). I guess you could check the coax into your box whilst your at it, it may be slightly adrift.

How can you say that when you only have 20% signal strength!
Because I am still receiving some of the digital channels ok with the same 20% signal level!and ALL of the terrestrial channels,(ok lets leave the terrestrial channels out of it as they are alright), Up until 9-30 pm last night I was watching digital, I then watched a terrestrial channel and at 10 p m I turned to the digital channel I had been watching and that is when I noticed the problem, I then tried other digital channels and some are ok and some are not, I can't see how it can be an aerial problem?
Hence why I think it could be the receiver that is not unscrambling SOME of the signals!Don`t steal - the Government doesn`t like the competition0 -

It is not a "digital" one, but I was under the impression that there is no such thing as a "digital aerial" only good and bad ones, mine is a good one although about 9-10 years old and has given me no trouble since it was fitted.Don`t steal - the Government doesn`t like the competition0 -

The digital channels are transmitted on six different MUX's, these are on different frequencies and some use a more robust transmission system 16QAM compared to 64QAM used by the commercial channels. I would put money on the ones that are OK as you put it are BBC channels.
Basically your signal strength is inadequate and needs improving. Blue text on this forum usually signifies hyperlinks, so click on them!..:wall:0 -
It is not as bad as I first thought, of all the channels available to me I have no problems with any except ; -
ITV3, ITV4, More4 and Channel 4+1
And ALL of the channels are showing 20% signal level.Don`t steal - the Government doesn`t like the competition0
