we happily use PCWB as well as Dell, Misco, etc for our needs.
Anyway,
for anyone who is interested in purchasing a pc from pc world i hope this post helps and will leave this now to whoever wants to fight it out over parts and suppliers.
remember you are the customer so you dont have to but what you dont want to!!!!
as for the higher prices comments that KEEP getting repeated....PRICE PROMISE!!!!!
THANK YOU
Who entered into a "slanging match? I like, you and all the others here, were expressing and opinion and not SHOUTING.
Feel free or not to disclose purchasing power, I'm was just illustrating an example point. You've had good service, I (and many others) have not.
I have a preferred list of suppliers for home, friends family, small - medium clients and large corporates and government clients - I work and advise with all. Sadly due to poor service, PCW don't feature.
As long as people are getting value for money, and not being ripped off, then I'm happy for that, after all it is MSE

Same goes for dell machines. My company bought two pcs one from Dell and one from PC World (same price but no delivery charge from PC World!!!). I took them apart straight away and guess what??? all the parts are like for like - exactly the same ...
You picked a bad example to compare to there, considering you get an extra year's warranty for free with John Lewis whereas PC World will try to sell you their expensive equivalent. My iBook died during its second year and I got a full refund of my original purchase price. By then the spec had improved and the price had come down... oh and I got another two years of guarunteed computing.0 -
And what was I talking about?maximus0983 wrote: »like i said before - price promise from pretty much all companies is there for a reason now!!!
Building it yourself.
The price promise means they check other stores/websites for the same computer at a cheaper price. That is completely irrelevant when you're going to buy the components and build the computer yourself which is far cheaper than buying it from the store.0
