My budget is about 30/40 pounds - but want it to have cheap texting PAYG...

    any more ideas?

    Hardy x;)
  • A couple of suggestions - the first is possibly a bit too complicated.

Three do the Skypephone for £40 on PAYG - you can call or text for 12p but if you paid a fiver a month you get a 1gb internet allowance that would allow for virtually number of texts through a website.
Another option here - the Skypephone is available on a six month contract - £15pcm (300 mins or texts) - but go through Quidco (£20) and use Refer a friend (£30) and its term cost will be £40 but with the added minutes.
I realise this may not suit - a contract that might be tempting to overuse.

Buy a cheap phone and use an O2 SIM (300 texts for a tenner).

Its possibly worth waiting to buy the phone till this weekend - a lot of retailers discount heavily for the bank holidays.

    thanks allthatmularkhy xxx

does anyone know of any thats not on a contract? just where you buy the top ups??

    thanks
  • o2 have some good deals when you top up a certain amount each month.

They also have simplicity, which is like a one month rolling contract as such. You can get some good deals with that - but I suppose it all depends if you think she can be trusted to stay within the limit! :)

I've just had a look on Orange - on their Dolphin PAYE if you top up £10 a month you can get 300 free texts - which leaves you with £10 credit for calls etc x
