great job well done...
have a look at UKTV website
at the gardens on there...
as your garden is so long you could do it in stage's
a section at a time
and make alot of different gardens
like a veg plot
an orchard
grow your own apples and pears
my nan used to have a massive garden like yours but twice as wide and it had loads of fruit trees in it...
in the 60's fruit was rare or to dear to buy so we loved going round and helping pick the fruit...
one for me and one for the basket...lol...
we were kids...lol
anyway you could have alook at there website to get an idea of what you'd like have a kids section
a veg section
a tree section
a seating area with screens
a pergola with grape vines growing up it...
I am all for growing my own...
I could go on and on...but with a long garden like this it can feel quite long and thin so if you do sections it would open it up and make it look wider...

UPDATE!!
The wall and steps are finally built - yay!!
Just need to do some backfilling now and then I'm gonna make a start on repairing the grass. I've given it a good mow (making sure not to hack it too short!!) and have bought some weed and feed after taking some advice on here.
Take a look at the updated pics!!

Also need to paint the old fence on the left hand side!0 -
It looks great Jem, well done! :T
I spotted what looks like a willow/bamboo screening further down your garden, can you tell me how you've secured it please? I want to screen off part of my garden in a similar way but I wasn't sure whether you could use them on their own or had to attach to existing fencing.“You can please some of the people some of the time, all of the people some of the time, some of the people all of the time, but you can never please all of the people all of the time.”0 -

Hiya,
Yeah it's willow screening.
I basically unthreaded four lengths of of the willow from the wire frame, one on each edge and then two towards the centre.
I bought four garden stakes from B&Q (£2 each) and then threaded the stakes through the wire frame, in and out, like a weave.
Hope that makes sense!! Good Luck if you're gonna have a go!0
